Consultative meet on enhancing exports of Sorghum & Seeds from India

The Agri-Business Incubation Program of AIP-ICRISAT is organizing a two day consultative meet during the 17-18 March, 2015 on enhancing the exports of sorghum, sorghum products and seeds with the objective of developing a strategy and Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) proposal to enhance their export marketability from India.

The two day workshop will map challenges and opportunities of all stakeholders on improving export of seeds, sorghum (Food, Feed and Industrial products) and to draft a strategic plan to enhance export of sorghum and seeds from India through PPP.

This workshop will identify the gaps and address the need to enhance the export market of sorghum, sorghum products and seed with the help of agri-platforms lead by agricultural institutions and agencies promoting exports. This consultative meeting will help in mapping challenges and opportunities of all stakeholders on improving exports.

The workshop will be attended by an expert panel and over 100 participants from public & private organizations, consisting of exporters, experts from R&D organizations, government officials and representatives from the sorghum processing and seed industry.

The workshop will have exclusive panel discussions on export opportunities of sorghum food products and commodity trading, sorghum based feed industry, sorghum consumer & industrial products technology, export market challenges & opportunities for seeds from India, market development of new seeds, strategy to accelerate seed & sorghum exports from India.
